The 2020 Census is one of the most important events for our country in the coming year. With Federal funding allocations for everything from education to social programs to roads and infrastructure, it is critical that we do all we can to ensure a complete count in the 2020 Census.
Through the Government Operations Agency, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the Sacramento County Office of Education has created a series of inquiry modules about the Census at the 5th, 8th, 11th, and 12th grade levels. These modules take students through a historical study of the US Census and task them to create a ‘Take Action’ campaign to educate their families and communities about the need for a complete count.
Designed to blend seamlessly into your grade level’s curriculum units, these modules can be used in the classroom right away!
Participants of this curriculum workshop to learn more about the US Census, be trained in the Count Me In! Census 2020 curriculum, and hear about other exciting census outreach efforts for schools.
Come to a FREE training of this curriculum to learn how you can teach about the 2020 Census without disrupting your schedule.
