BIOGRAPHY

Marti Emerald was a television journalist for 30 years, including 22 years as the "Troubleshooter" (consumer advocate) at San Diego's ABC affiliate, KGTVEmerald was elected to represent the newly created San Diego Council District 9.  While on the Council, she was chair of the Budget, Infrastructure and Environment committees.  She retired from the Council in 2016.  She lives in Imperial Beach and volunteers for a number of non-profit organizations.
